Layout Designer
The new Layout Designer makes it easier to create and customize your booth layouts. You can now arrange capture frames, text, and images directly in the app. For more complex graphics or logos, you can still design those externally and import them into your layout.
Upgrading Existing Presets
Your existing presets will continue to work in the HALO 5.0 update. When you open an older preset for the first time after updating, you’ll be prompted to migrate your previous photo design to the new layout system.
Select a frame size from the available options. The selected size will apply to all frames in your layout. Then, tap the checkmark button to continue to the Layout Designer.
If you attempt to launch a preset that hasn’t been transitioned to the layout system, you’ll be prompted to update it first.
Migrated Presets
After migration, your preset will include new layouts that are compatible with HALO 5.0 and later. You can still use the preset on older versions of HALO, but older versions won't apply the new 5.0 customization options.
If you downgrade to an earlier version of the app (or edit the preset in the old dashboard settings), any layout changes made there will not carry over when you return to 5.0.
Add Multiple Layouts
Core plan & up.
When you add multiple layouts to your preset, participants can choose their preferred layout before starting their session.
When adding a layout, start by choosing a template (photo strips, spotlights, grids, etc.).Then fine-tune it by adjusting the frame aspect ratio, margins, and layout padding.
Once your layout has been saved, you’ll be taken to the Layout Designer.
Tip: From your main settings, press and hold an existing layout to duplicate or delete it.
