# Powering HALO

HALO is built with a three‑prong US plug (Type B). It must be plugged in in order to use and does not have a built in battery.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you use HALO permanently outside the US, a compact regional adapter or a certified universal adapter ensures safe and reliable use.

## Battery Recommendations

If you won't have a normal power source, HALO can run off a power station. We recommend Chargetech.

## Travel Outside the US

If you live in the US and plan to travel with HALO, a universal adapter is the most convenient option, as it works in multiple countries.

**Popular options include:**
